Handy Pony

Where I work we do lots of competitions.  The Handy Pony competition is like an obstacle course, many people entered on their horse or pony. 
I ride a pony called Nutmeg and I did the handy pony competition on her.  Normally Nutmeg is very lively, cheeky and would like to be in charge really! 
There were lots of different obstacles to do, to start with we had to collect a big plastic fish, but Nutmeg decided that she didn't like it, and wouldn't go near!!!  However, she did eventually do as she was told and let me pick it up.  She went on to be a good girl through the cones, and hadn't even noticed the huge stuffed TweetyPie in the corner!
Nutmeg isn't very keen on doing too much work, she decided that she'd had enough and needed some help to stay motivated!  We had a helper run around the course with us to keep her moving-Thanks for all the legwork M!
Needless to say she was sooo lazy, and we were sooo slow that we got the slowest time, but at the prize giving I got a cake for being the worst there!  Yeah, thanks Nutmeg!

hello...!

I'm new to this blogging thing, but now I've set this page up and want to give it a go!  I will write about my job with horses, the horses I work with and the horses I ride. 
I hope you won't be too bored, and I may not be very good at this to start with but I hope i'll get better as the time goes on.
